Foundry-aware photonic circuit design and simulations in PhotonForge
January 23 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This virtual workshop will be held on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86742462021?pwd=Tjuq6CktwacV43b5KFf1688jXJGPgS.1
Abstract:
PhotonForge is a next-generation photonic design automation platform that consolidates the entire Photonic Integrated Circuits (PIC) development workflow – from design and optimization to fabrication-ready layouts – into a single environment. Leveraging GPU-accelerated, multi-physics solvers and support for foundry PDKs, PhotonForge unites layout, device simulations, compact model generation, circuit-level simulations, and signal integrity analysis. In this demo, we’ll learn how to load a foundry PDK and use that to run component level-simulations leveraging our hardware accelerated multi-physics solvers. After creating compact models, we’ll demonstrate how to do schematic-driven layout of components to make a Photonic Integrated Circuit and run circuit simulations.
